Jubilee Family Center, YWCA of Central VA and the Prayer of Faith Temple will sponsor the 2021 Annual Young Men’s Empowerment Conference on Saturday October 30th at 10am. The conference is open to young men ages 8 to 18. Conference topics will include What Does it Mean to be a Man, What Do I Do When I Get Angry, Relationships, and What is Dating Abuse. The conference will also have a 5 Vs 5 Basketball Tournament.

The goal of the conference is to empower young men for tomorrow. This year’s main focus is the kickoff and partnership with the AMEND Program. AMEND Together is a primary prevention initiative dedicated to ending violence against women and girls by engaging men and boys to be a part of the solution. Together, we seek to challenge the culture that supports violence, cultivate healthy masculinity, and change the future for women and girls. We have a desire to make Central Virginia the safest region in the nation for women and girls.
